Products holding leading positions on the world market account for a large proportion of the company sales. BMS had about 14,300 employees at 30 production sites worldwide and posted sales of EUR 7,520 million in 2009. Our global headquarters are in Leverkusen, Germany.

We are now hiring a "Credit Officer" in our company with the following detail:

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure efficient AR administration through Commercial Operations and Order Management/Customer Service

  • Assess customer credit worthiness according to company guideline

  • Work with Order Management to resolve credit issues to facilitate business

  • Work closely with accounting colleagues on AR topics

  • Advice logistics service providers on LC issues

  • Safeguard and monitor best practices in handling credit in cooperation with our affiliates.

  • Manage all L/C related issues in a timely and efficient way.

  • Keep close cooperation with Supply Chain & Logistics to ensure necessary document preparation for L/C fulfillment and monitor the L/C to ensure all the terms and conditions are within our set up guidelines.

  • Effectively monitor the status of outstanding accounts.

  • Keeps Customer Service informed of their customers' outstanding / overdue and encourage their early payment.

  • Hold and release order whenever it is necessary.

  • Review credit limit and increase whenever it is not sufficient in a regular basis.



Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary School graduate. University graduate preferred.

  • 2 years of working experience in Credit Management.

  • Experience in dealing with banks and with understanding of international business terms and regulations.

  • Good spoken and written English and Chinese.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Membership of the Hong Kong Credit & Collection Management Association preferred.

  • Certified Credit Practitioner (CCP) of the Hong Kong Credit & Collection Management Association preferred.
